We are all pining for some sort of normalcy in our Disney planning so the next logical step is to dream about our 2021 adventures. The only issue is that no one is really sure what all of this will look like. All we can do is plan and make the best choices based on the information we do have. This is not all doom and gloom, because we all know that any day at Disney is better than a day at home. We are going to review our choices for resorts for 2021 based on the current availability and what makes each one of those choices the way to go.
Most Budget Friendly:
All Star Movies Resort is boasting renovated rooms and some of the most affordable nightly rates in all categories. This will be a solid choice for our Value travelers without feeling like you compromised. The rooms are modern and sleek. The Murphy Bed is such a space saver and the new flooring is a game changer, especially for families with littles!
Value Resort
Pop Century Resort is our Value Category choice. The resort has recently refurbished rooms featuring Murphy Beds and new flooring and most importantly Skyliner Transportation. Staying at Pop will not only get you access to Hollywood Studios and Epcot via Skyliner but it also will get you to Caribbean Beach Resort and The Riviera Resort. This means that you have more access to a variety of dining options without having to navigate the bus or Ubers. You also can walk right over to Art of Animation to take advantage of their food court.
Moderate Resort
Caribbean Beach Resort is our current choice for a moderate resort. We love the remodeled rooms and the pool is a favorite especially with the kiddos. The Caribbean vibe, food and sand will definitely make you feel like you are on a tropical escape. The Skyliner is also a huge draw. It definitely makes park touring and transportation easier.
Deluxe Resort
This category will have more options based solely on the ability to walk to certain parks! We expect some new magic in 2021 and staying at certain resorts will get you to the magic easier and faster.
Contemporary and Polynesian Resorts:
With Tron being expected in 2021 and the 50th Anniversary happenings, these are going to be a great option to be front and center during those mornings when rope drop will be even more important. With the option of monorail transportation or walking, these two resorts are at the top of my list. The Polynesian Resort is currently undergoing a huge refurbishment and I cannot wait to see the Moana touches added to resort and rooms.
Both resorts are so beautiful with spectacular views of fireworks and the Electrical Water Pageant. The variety of food options among the monorail resorts also makes it such a great choice.
Yacht Club Resort:
Walking to Epcot is always a good idea but with Guardians of the Galaxy and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure arriving in 2021, it will be even more of an advantage to resort guests. This resort is situated perfectly to enjoy the Boardwalk area and all that it has to offer.
Relax in the inviting elegance of a plush lobby replete with nautical touches. Yacht Club Resort is walking distance to Epcot and a convenient boat ride to Disney’s Hollywood Studio
We know that things can change quickly around the Mouse world so this list may not apply in a few weeks but at least we have a starting point. Any day spent with the Mouse is better than a day at home so I would be over the moon to be planning a stay at any of these resorts! I can’t wait for all the magic in 2021, how about you?
