Though the shortest of the festivals, Epcot International Festival of the Arts offers a wealth of experiences. This guide will give you an overview of what you can expect when you go to this annual event.

As you might imagine, visual art is a large component of this festival. Around the park you will find booths set up with various artists selling their creations. With a large variety of styles and themes, there is guaranteed to be something for everyone. Often times, artists will be there in person to chat with or sign their art which makes it an even more unique souvenir.

Sprinkled around in the different countries of World Showcase you will find art of characters. Keep your eyes open because sometimes they can blend in really well! Tip: Look for a list online and make your own scavenger hunt!

While visual art is certainly a focus of this festival, the performing arts all get their chances to shine! Talented musicians, singers, dancers, and aerialists perform throughout the day in many areas of Epcot. You can find an act of interpretative dance & aerial stunts in World Celebration Gardens.
Just steps away in CommuniCore Plaza, get ready to groove to the sounds of a rotating lineup of talented musicians.
Experience the magic of Broadway at EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts with the Disney on Broadway Concert Series. This popular event showcases talented Broadway stars who have graced the stages of Disney musicals, performing beloved songs from shows like “The Lion King” and “Frozen” at the America Gardens Theatre. While included with park admission, consider booking a Disney on Broadway Dining Package for a guaranteed seat and a delightful meal.

What would a festival at Epcot be without a whole bunch of food? Unlike the other festivals the focus here is not only on taste, but presentation.

Many of the items are works of art in their own right. Crafted to be almost too beautiful to eat…almost. A balance of sweet and savor options will make sure there is something for everyone. Plus, many of the items are very kid accessible with flavors they will be familiar with.

Tip: Each year they offer a Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine that allows you to pick five things from a list of festival items to try. You collect stamps for each of the five and, when you finish, you get to pick up an unique festival treat!

One of the best, most exciting things about the Festival of the Arts is that YOU can participate! Figment’s Brush with the Masters is a fun scavenger hunt that has you searching for “Figmentized” works of art in each country. For $10, you can pick up a map to help guide you in your quest. Once complete you can pick from a selection of art themed prizes!

Another fun (and free!) event is the Animation Academy led by a Disney artist in the America Garden Theater. These daily classes are such a great opportunity to test your art skills while taking some time off your feet.

Don’t forget to leave your mark at the Paint by Numbers Mural. Cast members will randomly assign you a paint color that has a number on it. You then find three squares matching that number and paint them in. Once you complete it, you are given a bookmark with a finished picture of the mural. It is an absolute MUST DO!
This only scratches the surface of what you can expect to see and do when attending the Epcot International Festival of the Arts!
