Recently introduced to Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the addition of a single rider line gives guests more options to experience it. However, there are some things worth noting as it isn’t for everyone & while you might save time there are aspects of the experience that you will not do as a single rider.
If you’ve never ridden Rise of the Resistance, it is truly an one of a kind experience that puts you in the middle of your Star Wars story. The experience starts from when you get into the queue and doesn’t end until you exit the attraction. There are essentially 5 pre shows/mini scenes that you move through before boarding the ride itself.
When approaching the single rider line, you’ll take a path on the right of the entrance. This path skips all the pre-shows and takes you directly to the First Order hanger (where the Stormtroopers are). You’ll then join a line alongside other guests. From there, you’ll be grouped with others to fill any available seats. Then you will experience the interrogation scene and ride like normal.
So…who would you recommend take advantage of the single rider line?
For guests who have previously done the attraction and want to just do the ride portion, this is a great option. You won’t feel like you are missing out on much and still get to enjoy the bulk of the action.
It also would be a good fit for those guests who aren’t necessarily Star Wars fans. This allows them to ride it without devoting too much time (or money).
Anything else I should know about the single rider line?
Like all things, it is subject to availability & may not be open during your visit. If you and your party get in the line, be prepared to be split up.
It can certainly save you time, but in some rare cases it isn’t always the better option.
