Chances are you are getting tired of your four walls and have run out of things to watch on Netflix (is that even possible?). You see a picture of Mickey waving on Main Street and you think, should we go to Disney?
It’s no secret that the parks are running on a “Disney Lite” experience. There are currently no fireworks, stage shows or experiences like character meals or an opportunity to hug Tinkerbelle. But does this mean it’s not worth even considering a visit?
RIDES
I have had quite a few clients go in the recent weeks and the reviews are overwhelmingly positive. The highlight of each and every one of these trips is being able to ride their favorite ride not just more than once but three and four times. If you are a seasoned Disney traveler you know being able to ride an in demand ride twice in one visit can be a unicorn! A ride focused trip without having to keep a strict schedule while being mindful of dining reservations and fast passes is something we have not seen in a very long time.
CHARACTERS
Even though there are limited character interactions the Character Cavalcades have been a unique experience where you get to see and wave and maybe take a distant selfie with some rare characters. Now for the Halloween and Holiday seasons, the characters and Cast Members are donning outfits and costumes usually only enjoyed if you had a party ticket! The regular cavalcades happen often throughout the day so you won’t feel rushed or like you are missing out.
FOOD
Food is one of my favorite part of a Disney Vacation and trust me, you will not be missing out in this department. This is a great opportunity to try some of those Quick Service locations that often get neglected due to have a Table Service reservation. Mobile ordering is a huge convinience and it was recently announced that you will even be able to order to go options at Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas-Kidani Village.
Epcot is currently holding the Taste of Epcot International Food and Wine Festival until the end of the year. This means you are still getting to savor the spectacular foods at the booths throughout World Showcase along with the traditional Epcot must eats.
SNACKS and SNACKS and more SNACKS! Disney is still wowing us with their splendid themed goodies! Cupcakes, Dole Whips and desserts that still capture our imaginations and taste buds.
WHO
This is a great time to take an adult trip, girls trip or a holiday getaway to take in the seasonal magic. This is a time of year that tends to draw more crowds and you have always had to pack extra patience. This is a moment in time to not have all those crowds and still experience all that wonder. Disney pros this is our time to sit on a bench and listen to the music on Main Street and ride the Big Thunder 5 times in a row!
If you are on board with all the current park regulations, pack those extra masks and hand sanitizer and I will meet you at Toy Story Land!
If this would be your once in a lifetime Disney trip that you have been planning and won’t be back for a long time, I would suggest sitting this season out and waiting for things to get a little more back to normal. The magic will be waiting for you, promise!
